Week 2, Wednesday

By now you've read a lot about Christ's relationship with God the Father. This often confuses many people. How about you? Are you able to articulate how Jesus is God and yet not the Father?

  1. Well, I heard a great sermon once and the guy, errr.. preacher explained it very nicely. He basically said, "I am one being, one person. God is one being, three persons. I can't understand it and I'm okay with that!"

That was good, but it's still not totally resolved in my mind because 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 says:

2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2Co 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Most commentaries indicate that the Spirit, the Comforter is the Spirit of Christ. Suffice it to say that I am confused, and I'm okay with it!
